Osterferien/ Easter break

I hope y'all have a lovely Easter! It is beautiful outside. Everything in Germany is closed on holidays, so our lives are a bit quieter on Friday, Sunday, and Monday. However, on Saturday everyone was in the supermarket or walking the streets. I think the clubs were even open. I found the Turkish grocery store. It is more interesting than the typical German stores, and I think I'll shop there again. I found cardamom for my cookies!

Today I woke up with the sun, as always. There are advantages and disadvantages to living on the south side of the building. I have a great view of the city, but direct sunlight in the mornings.

I walked to church today, and after the service I met several sweet people. This congregation is mostly young people. Next week I'll bring some friends along.

In my dorm, everybody on the floor shares the kitchen. That means theat i have met most of my neighbors in the kitchen! When someone seees you eating or cooking, they always say, "Guten Appetit!" And even in the elevator, everyone gives a friendly greeting.

Last night I met with some of my American friends and we cooked dinner together. Good times! Pasta and wine and friends, new and old, are a great combination. I also got to talk with my American boyfriend, Jon, for a while! He could talk to me for two hours a day if possible. I'm really lucky to have him.

Eine Schöne Oster noch! Und es ist schön draussen. Alles in Deutschland ist geschlossen am Feiertage, so Freitag, Sonntag, und Montag ist unsere Leben ein bisschen ruhiger. Am Samstag waren jeder in den Markt, auf dem Strasse. Ich glaube die Diskos waren offen! Ich habe der Turkische Markt gefunden. Es war interessant und ich will da wieder gehen. Ich habe Kardamom für meine Kekse gefunden.

Heute war ich sehr fruh mit die Sonne aufgewacht, wie immer. Es gibt Vorteile und Nachteile mit einen Zimmer die ist am sudlich Seite der Gebäude. Ein guter Blick über den Stadt, aber viele Sonnenlicht im morgens!

Ich bin nach Kirche gelaufen, und nach Gottesdienst habe ein paar nette Leute kennengelernt. Dieser Gemeinde ist meisten junge Leute. Nächste Woche bringe ich meine Freunde mit!

In meiner Wohnheim, alle Leute in eine Etage benutzen die Küche gemeinsam. Das bedeutet dass ich habe meine Nachbarn in der Küche getroffen. Wenn jeder sieht man essen oder kochen, man sagt: "Guten Appetit!" Und auch in unsere Aufzug, immer gibt es eine freundliche Grüsse.

Gestern habe ich mit meiner Americanische Freunde getroffen. Wir haben Abendessen gekocht. Macht Spass! Pasta und Wein und Freunde, neu und alt, sind eine gute Kombination! Ich habe auch viel mit mein Freund aus Amerika (Jon) gesprochen. Er könnte mit mir zwei Stunde pro Tag sprechen! Ich bin glücklich ihn zu haben.
